Cool little place, when we went to tour for grandma they had live music that was hilarious. The residents were all out of bed and really rocking out. They specialize in memory care which really is what we needed for grandma. She has some behavior issues and they were so accepting and knowledgeable about the progression of the disease and what happens as disease takes hold. I think the musicians name was Zack if I remember right and he played there several times a week which I am so happy about. They had live music on their calendar everyday which is almost unheard of at all the other facilities we have toured. besides being a real home like setting some of the bigger places could not offer.Less

This facility is beautiful inside and out. The facility is very clean and never smelled institutional. The insides are airy and bright, while the outside areas are lovely with places to sit in the sun or shade. A lot of care is taken to make sure the residents are safe and can not wander off. The feeling here is one of a protected community that cares about every resident. The staff is very caring, respectful and kind towards the people in their care. The staff makes great efforts to engage with the residents. They have many activities at all levels for residents to partake in. We gave detailed instructions on our family member's care and they followed them carefully. Our family members care here was exception.Less

I can appreciate the quality of care that goes into this place. The marketing director gave us a complete tour and was very informative . We are in the process of picking a place for my grandad and this feels like a home he can thrive in. The reason I'm giving it a 5is because they invited us for lunch and the food was restaurant quality and my gramps loves to eat.Less

My Mom has lived at the Olivenhain Guest Home for more than two years. I had cared for her at home for three years and was struggling to find the right place. I did not want a small, board and care home without enough eyes on her or accountability. And I did not want a large, corporate institution with decision-making far removed from patient care. Kind of like "Goldilocks and the Three Bears", Olivenhain Guest Home is just right. Owned and run by two caring professionals, and like a big family, it offers the warm, personal environment I was looking for. I visit often and always find a caring core of staff that, while others come and go - this is hard work - provide the care and love my Mom and other residents need and deserve. Gratefully, Dianne FletcherLess

I have been working here for years !! And I love love love what I do here! Residents are my motivation!!! Hank and Suzanne are by far the most involved owners I've known and their hearts are really in the right place! We have an AWESOME team and really just feels like home. We love our residents and give the quality of life that they deserve with such an unfortunate disease- but that's what we're here for! To love them everydayLess

I moved my mom to OGH a couple years ago after experiencing poor care, over charges, and neglect from a larger corporate owned facility. Ultimately, landing her in the hospital due to a untreated UTI which led to encephalopathy. Don’t be fooled by the glitz and glam of larger assisted-living/dementia care facilities. OGH is a charming smaller family owned home which provides unparalleled care! The owners Suzanne and Hank take pride in the home, listen to your concerns and take immediate action if needed. The administrators Kelly and Trudy go above and beyond and are very approachable. The entire staff from the owners all the way down treat the residents with loving care. It is not just a “job”. They spend time with the residents and get to know them. They get to know family members and truly give the best care one could hope for. I could finally sleep at night knowing my mom was in caring loving hands. An added bonus-great food, activities and entertainment AND they don’t nickel and dime you for various little extras!!! ❤️❤️❤️OGH!Less
