My mother-in-law recently passed away after living here for almost 7 years. When my wife and I brought her here, we were immediately impressed by the love and caring approach of the staff. During the 7 years there, she received excellent personal care, and everyone treated her like a family member would. There was never a question that she was in the right place.

I find that all the staff at RanchView are so helpful, friendly, and very sincere in the care that they give to the residents. My wife has been there since February of 2021, and the care she receives is wonderful. There is a very nice patio to visit and listen to the live entertainment. The facility is very nice and clean. I am very glad that we were able to get her into this facility. I recommend it very highly.

My grandmother Anastasia is a patient at the senior assisted living, and they are so kind, thoughtful, attentive, and nurturing! The place is extremely neat, the food is awesome, and they have live music six days a week! Highly recommend it!

My mother really found a home for herself here for almost seven years. When I visited, from quite a distance, she (a past president of the American Dietetic Assn.) made a point of telling me about the good, healthy meals, and I enjoyed them, as well. She always seemed relaxed, happy, peaceful, and appreciative of the staff, whom she grew to know very well. The staff seemed truly welcoming to family members. Also! The music is not just an add-on here but a wonderful piece of near-everyday life, which meant so much to her and to the nearby family, too. In the end, the hospice care was excellent, too! This is a very nice community located in a beautiful part of SD County. The staff are all very nice, from the care staff to Administrator and Owners. The residents are well cared for and the price is very fair for the services. This is a welcomed gem of a care facility when so many others don't do a good job. Thanks OGH for the care you offered my loved one during such a sensitive time in our lives. I recommend this facility if you need assisted living or memory care services in north county San Diego.

I love visiting this facility. The residents are the focus within the walls of this homey environment. The facility is clean. The staff are friendly. They work hard. They're smiling. They bring the residents outside on the patio frequently. The sun shines a lot here in San Diego county. Location is Encinitas/Olivenhain area. Lovely, safe almost rural feel. (This is coming from an Iowa native) There is a pride in the work and love they provide here. If my family member lived here rather than the Midwest, I would place my own mother here in a heartbeat.

I have said countless times over the past 1 1/2 years how grateful I am to have learned about Olivenhain Guest Home for my mom. As other reviewers have also commented, the care my mom has received has been wonderful. The staff is so loving, caring, considerate, and patient. For the first time, I haven't worried! And I have full confidence that mom is being watched after carefully and personally. In fact, I see this with all the residents. They get to know each one personally. When Covid hit and the OGH had to shut down, I didn't worry which is saying a lot! I knew she was being cared for so well. They made such efforts to allow me to talk with my mom via FaceTime which helped me AND my mom so much. Unlike many other care facilities, OGH kept the daily routine as normal as possible and continued certain activities in house. Executive Director, Karen Kanan is exceptional in every way! Highly professional and very knowledgable about the specialized care of seniors with Dementia. Karen is compassionate, caring, and has a huge heart for this work. She has the BEST people working with her. I'm just so so grateful and tell everyone I know how much I appreciate OGH!

In our family, the most used comment about Olivenhain Guest House is how thankful we are to have found them. OGH provides all you would want for your loved one in the way of safety, activities, and general care, but for us, above all, we have experienced the most caring and compassionate staff starting with the administrator, Karen. Despite the fact that the pandemic has prohibited our ability to see our family member, Karen and the staff have gone above and beyond to help us to feel close despite the physical distance that separates us. They send videos and photographs, stories, and updates. This gives us such peace of mind during a difficult time. Further, we have felt 100% confident in their handling of the COVID-19 crisis - they have communicated extensively and been largely successful at keeping residents healthy. Even when a small outbreak occurred, they immediately contained it, and the residents affected thankfully, made a full recovery. We know OGH cannot be responsible for the outcome of every illness, but the staff is responsible for protocols, standards-of-care, and two-way communication at all times, and it is in those that we have the utmost confidence. Highest recommendation for the wonderful staff at Olivenhain Guest House.

I needed to find a place for my husband who suffers from dementia. He had been at another facility and I was looking for a place closer to home. I came across OGH in Sept 2000. I couldn't be happier. The staff is amazing and so caring and attentive. They have done an excellent job in handling the Covid-19 with the resources they have provided. I would recommend this facility if you\'re looking for piece of mind of the care of your loved one, this is the place. Thank you all at OGH.

At Olivenhain Guest Home, our mother is surrounded by the most dedicated and loving caregivers. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our mom to live. The community has lots of activities for the residents, and a beautiful patio for residents and guests to enjoy. Every member of the team is accessible for questions and help. Most importantly, we can tell that our mom is happy she’s living at Olivenhain. If you’re looking for a small community for your loved one, look no further.

My sisters and I were so pleased with the excellent care and compassion provided to our parents during their time at OGH. At ages 89 and 90, we could no longer care for them at home. Dad was in the final stages of a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Our parents had been married for 68 years so the transition from their family home was difficult. The staff at OGH was incredible. From the administrative team to the care givers and everyone else, we could not have asked for better care. Everyone was so responsive to our needs and showed great compassion to our whole family. Sadly, our father passed away in September. We are all so grateful to the OGH staff and will always remember the awesome care our parents received. We would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone with memory care issues. The activities kept mom as busy as she wanted to be and she especially loved the ability to garden in the huge patio. Thank you again.
